Discovery Flights

Experience the thrill of aviation with a Discovery Flight designed to ignite your passion for the clouds. Take the controls alongside The Pink Pilot and witness the world from a breathtaking new perspective, whether it's soaring over majestic peaks or tracking the glowing coastline. Guided by a certified expert in an atmosphere that is as encouraging as it is professional, you will discover that your journey to the cockpit is within reach.

Rates start at $60 an hour and do not include airplane rental.

Your Private Pilot Certificate is your all-access, front-row ticket to the sky—and yes, you absolutely belong in that left seat. With The Pink Pilot, training feels like a mix of adventure and aviation talk and girl-talk: we laugh, we learn, and we celebrate every tiny win. From your first takeoff to that “I did it!” checkride moment, you’ll build real skills and big confidence in a bright, Barbie-pink training space that reminds you your dreams were never too much—they were meant to fly.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • 16 years old to solo.

  • 17 years old to receive your private pilot certificate.

  • Read, speak, write, and understand English.

  • Hold at least a third class medical certificate. 

Privileges


Can fly almost anywhere in the world! Just have to follow some rules and make sure you stay away from clouds! 

Training:
Its more involved than driving school!  But you still need to study and fly for the list of  things below, but don't worry with the energy and fun of The Pink Pilot you'll learn exactly how to navigate and the next steps! 

Flight Training 

1. 40 hours of flight time include

2. 20 hours of flight training from an authorized instructor with

  • 10 hours of solo flight training including at least

    • 3 hours of cross-country flight training

    • 3 hours of night flight training including

      •  One cross-country flight of +100NM  total distance; and

      •  10 takeoffs and 10 landings to a full stop ( each landing involving a flight in the traffic pattern) at an airport

3. 3 hours of flight training on control and maneuvering of an airplane solely by reference to instruments

4.  3 hours of  practical test prep in last 2 calendar months 

5. 10 hours of solo flight time with

  • 5 hours of solo cross-country time;

  • One solo cross country flight of 150NM total distance, with full-stop landings at 3 points, and one segment of the flight consisting of a straight-line distance of more than 50 nautical miles between the takeoff and landing locations; and

  • 3 takeoffs and 3 landings to a full stop (with each landing involving a flight in the traffic pattern) at an airport with an operating tower control tower.

We’ll polish your skills, sharpen your decision-making, and train you to pro standards in a fun, supportive flight deck. You’ll learn to fly smoother, safer, and more confidently—so when it’s time to get paid to fly, you’re already ahead of the pack.

Eligibility 

 

  • Hold at least a current private pilot certificate.

  • Read, speak, understand, and write the English language 

  • 18 years old

  • Hold current  Medical Certificate.

  • To use commercial priviledges need 2nd Class medical 

Flight Time! 

1. 250 hours Total time logged including:

  •  100 hours of Pilot in command time

  •  50 hours PIC cross country time

  • 10 hours solo of commercial areas of operation including:

    • 1 cross country at least  300NM total distance with 3 landings at three points, 1 of which is straight line distance of 250 NM.

    • 5 hours Night VFR w/ 10 takeoffs/landings at an airport with an operational control tower.

2. 20 hours of dual instruction including:

  •  10 hours of complex, turbine or TAA (Technologically Advanced Aircraft) training

  •  10 hours  instrument training, (5 hours must be in single engine airplane)

  • 2 hour, 100 nm straight line distance, dual day cross country.

  •  2 hour, 100 nm straight line distance, dual night cross country.

  • 3 hours of test prep within last 60 days

What to Expect! 

With The Pink Pilot, efficiency and saving money while providing a well rounded approach is paramount! A minimum of 1 hour of ground instruction and one hour of flight instruction is the legal requirement and you'll be surprised how fast it goes even if you need a little more time. The Pink Pilot will make sure you're safe, legal and ready!

We’ll cover everything you need to pass your FAA knowledge test and feel confident  on the flight deck, from aerodynamics and weather to navigation, regulations, and real-world decision making.
